About the Book (No Spoilers):

This book follows Archer Hale and Bree Prescott who both come from a traumatic past and who will take you on one emotional love story. Archer Hale is known in a small town as someone who is unapproachable and to himself, making most steer clear from him. His past is haunting and after a huge traumatic event that happened when he was little, it left him mute and unable to communicate with anyone. Until she came along.
Bree Prescott decides to leave everything behind after losing her father in the most horrifying of ways. She finds herself stopping in a small town called Pelion in Maine, making herself at home although having no plans of staying long.
There, she moves into a small cottage, gets a new job at the local diner, meets new people who become good friends, and runs into Archer Hale.
Although he can’t speak, and despite what some have said about him, she finds herself not only wanting to speak his language but to get to know him better. From there, it kick-starts their unexpected, growing friendship that slowly becomes more. But, their relationship does not come without hardships. With both needing to face their pasts, it seems their future may be uncertain, but will be too late?

My Review:
Archer’s Voice is one of the best romances I’ve read in a while. I’d say since Say You Swear and it cured my hangover from that but then it gave me another, now leaving searching desperately for a book just like it. Although I felt it had some flaws I couldn’t seem to overlook (I;m sure it’s me being picky, positive actually), everything else was so deliciously perfect. I mean I ate. it. the fuck. up.
It left me wishing I could be there to experience myself honestly. This story grabbed my heart, clenched it with white knuckles, and would only release when it was finished (except not even then). The build up was phenomenal, the tension was so good it had my heart racing and hoping, the angst was done so wonderfully that it left me wanting to cradle them until they felt no pain any longer.
Archer Hale, my baby, the loml, will probably make it to one of your at least top 10 book boyfriends and if not? Good, more for me.

Even Bree, my beautiful sunshine woman, UGH, she deserves the world and I melt knowing Archer will give it to her.
I know, dramatic, but I don’t care. Bree and Archers story was written so beautifully, it was so raw and emotional, I think it’ll stick with me forever. I still miss these characters and replay some of the scenes in my head like it’s my side piece of a book when I’m reading another that just isn’t doing it for me.
If you’re looking for a cute, fun, fluffy romance with a side -big side- of a traumatic pasts with uncertain futures, READ THIS BOOK. Or miss out and don’t. No, I’m kidding please do.

FAVORITE QUOTES OF MINE FROM THE BOOK:
~ “I’m afraid to love you. I’m afraid that you’ll leave and I’ll go back to being alone again.
~ “You brought the silence,
The most beautiful sound I’d ever heard.”

~ “I know I’m probably the last person you want to see right now, but I thought if I sat on your porch, you wouldn’t be scared. You wouldn’t be alone.”
~ “Yes, yes. Of course I will. And I promise not to say anything.”
~ “Teach me what you like.” (ARE YOU KIDDING!?!?)
~ “Don’t run from me, I can’t call to you. Please don’t run from me.”

I’m honestly depriving you of a lot of the most beautiful quotes. I don’t want to give too much away, I also want you to read it and experience it yourself, but I could really sit here for hours giving you them all but I can’t. Read it. In case I haven’t said that already.
